Lake Martin Market Report

April 2020


What corona? The Lake Martin waterfront real estate market has been absolutely scorching hot, regardless of the global concern with the coronavirus.


Let’s take a look at April 2020, waterfront home sales.

These statistics are taken from The Alabama Center of Real Estate. They represent all agents, all brokerages in the Lake Martin MLS. 

Sales - April 2020 sales beat last year by 10% by scoring 30 closings. Mind you, 2019 was the best year ever for home sales here, so beating last year is a big deal.

Inventory - The number of waterfront homes for sale in April was 218, which was a whopping 31% decrease from last year and 21% lower than our five year average.  This supply and demand crunch combine to have a lot of upward pressure on prices.
